Descrição: Terceiro aporte da série Guitar Hero baseada em bandas, Guitar Hero: Van Halen certamente cobre um hiato óbvio. De fato, seria difícil pensar em um nome que melhor represente o termo "guitar hero" do que o irreverente “shred guitar” Edward Lodewijk Van Halen, mais conhecido como Eddie Van Halen. O título mantém as mesmas características de Guitar Hero: Metallica. Em GH: Van Halen você poderá encarnar versões pixealizadas / caricatas de Eddie Van Halen, Alex Van Halen, Wolfgang Van Halen e David Lee Roth. Entretanto, ficaram de fora Sammy Hagar, Michael Anthony e Gary Cherone. Os integrantes da banda aparecerão inicialmente com o visual que tem hoje: que dizer, um tanto envelhecidos. Eventualmente, algumas conquistas poderão desbloquear o jovem Van Halen do início dos anos 80.
